Combat Sports Live TV is a new online live sports channel and 10th Legion was its first live event.
The event was watched live by thousands of people all over the world. With great support from America where we have many friends. We had fighters from the Ukraine, South Africa and France on the show and their families and supporters were able to see their fighters in action, which was fantastic. The show will now also be aired on The Active Channel on Sky TV!

James Bateman (Fight Ministry) vs Youenn Lebeau (United Fight Team)
James Bateman 6-1 a name to watch in the UK MMA ranks. With that in mind the 10th Legion British Title fight was matched. At the last minute and for no good reason his opponent dropped out. So within hours of the news a new opponent was found from United Fight Team in France. It was agreed Youenn Lebeau 6-3 would take on Bateman. A big thank you goes out to Phi at United Fight Team for helping match this fight. Lebeau an experienced Professional and skilled grappler would be a great test for Bateman. The fight was fast and furious with Bateman landing heavy hands and taking down Lebeau. On the ground Bateman and Lebeau both showed excellent skills. It was a true chess game of BJJ skills. Batman in the end passed Ledeau’s guard and put on the pressure until he caught his opponent in an arm triangle. Lebeau showed a lot of heart and Bateman had to render this opponent unconscious to get home the belt.
Winner: Bateman

Josh Layton (Tap or Snap) vs Dan Rees (OMR Team)
Josh Layton was all business taking down and controlling Rees from the start of the fight. Rees never got a chance to show his striking skills as Layton locked in his position too TKO is opponent with text book ground and pound skills.
Winner: Layton - Round 1 2.40 TKO
Jack Grant (
Fight Ministry) vs Jamie Shepard (Tap or Snap)
10th Legion NSAC Welterweight Title Ground and Pound Rules
Jack Grant 11-0 has been building a strong rep for winning fights very quickly and in exciting fashion. This fight would be exciting but for a different reason. That reason was one Jamie ‘The Ginger Ninja’ Shepard! Round one Grant came out with his trade mark balls to the wall striking style. The only thing missing in his first assault was the kitchen sink! But Shepard was not reading the script and refused to play his part. Grant could not complete his mission as the laidback Shepard defended really well but was on the back end of all of Grant’s attacks. Round Two The second was a more even round with Shepard having more success with his own attacks rather than just fending off Grant. This was turning into a battle royale and the fans where loving the drama and excitement that both fighters where bringing to the show. Round Three Round three was all Grant with not stop pressure and a great takedown. Grant took Shepard’s back and looked hard for a submission finish. But Shepard was cool as ice and defended well. Both Grant and Shepard are superstars in the making for sure. A good win for Grant- who really needed this kind of fight to test his him in all areas. All questions answered!

Carl Messon (Leeds Muay Thai & MMA vs Keith Rouse (Fight Ministry)
10th Legion light-heavyweight semi-pro title fight
These guys are what MMA is all about – two of the best sportsmen you could meet. This was a classic grappler vs striker match up. Messon used his strong wrestling skills to stay out of trouble and neutralise Rouse’s knockout striking skills. Messon fought the right fight for him taking it to the ground and keeping control of the fight.

Gavin Lofts (Fight Ministry) vs Wes Nunns (Selby MMA)
10th Legion Semi Pro Welterweight title fight
Another great fight!! This was total war!! Both fighters came and put in on the line. Lofts looked to have his timing right in the first round. He landed the cleaner shots and was like a machine. Nunns worked well and was still in the fight. The second round was a big come back from Nunns. He started landing his jab and the fight turned his way as he knocked Lofts down twice! Lofts held it together but looked to be in a lot of trouble. But Nunns could not seal the deal. The third round was like a Rocky film. Both fighters where bloody and the crowd was waiting for Nunns to finish what he started in the second. But Lofts came out like it was the first round again! He punched, kicked and landed knees all day long – breaking Nunns nose in the process. Lofts was on fire! He did just what he needed to take home the belt.
Winner - Gavin Lofts Majority Win
Andy Craven defeated Roman Boiko. They put on a great fight - both youngbloods making us feel old with the pace of their fight! Luke O’Neill defeated Paul Gibbs with a close decision win – great battle!
Onur Caglar defeated Lewis Redmore very quickly with a super slick armbar!
Mikey Cotcher defeated Ryan Fuller via KO – It was like a thunder bolt!
Tom Learoyd defeated Ian Potter with takedowns and ground control.
Lee Campbell defeated Deon Brunning via submission after losing the first two rounds. That’s MMA for you!
Brad Barker, Adam Short and Mark Brown all had first round submission wins in the amateur undercard.
