Real Brazilian Vale Tudo comes to London!
Mixed Martial Arts events in the UK have been growing and developing with each step. Over the coming months I will be covering all the best shows in the UK. Looking at what they started out to do and where they have come to so far. With Events becoming bigger and better what's the next big thing for MMA in the UK. If you watch the Vale Tudo fights in Brazil you will notice a whole different level of event. The real Brazilian Vale Tudo shows are non-stop action with fewer rules and more full on action. In order to fully understand that atmosphere you would have needed to get a flight to Brazil! Until now in Central London a Brazilian Vale Tudo event has not really been done. So, I am very excited that we will now have a chance to see such an event in a central London location! Fight First MMA will be staging its first 'Friday Night- Fight Night', event on Friday 23rd March 2007 at the Porchester Hall (Bayswater), London London.
Fight First MMA's Fight Director, Leo Negao who is a Brazilian BJJ Black Belt and World BJJ and Vale Tudo Champion with over 300 BJJ, Vale Tudo and Submission Wrestling fights will be fighting at the event. I have been training with Leo of late and I will tell you first hand its going to be an exciting night. It must be in the Brazilian blood as Leo has only been in the UK a short time and he has already set about putting on a fight night Brazilian style!

Rather than just a Fight show, there will also be plenty of entertainment performed by Sexy Female Brazilian Samba Dancers and an exhilarating exhibition of the Brazilian Martial Arts 'Capoeira'. Really bringing a true Brazilian vibe to the night! The party doesn't stop early in Brazil therefore ticket holders to this event will also gain guest list entry to Fight First MMA's after show party, at an exclusive London Mayfair Club, where MMA fans are invited to party with the Fight First MMA team and fighters who competed on the night. Round that off with the one and only Ian 'The Machine' Freeman confirmed as MC. All you need is a reason to fight. So they have put together UK vs France.
This ('Pride Style') event will take place in a boxing ring with Pride style rules. That's foot stomping and football kicks allowed! Its Hardcore Vale Tudo. UK vs France 'Final Destination' looks set to be the most hardcore MMA fight night action to have ever been seen before in the UK. They have put nation against nation for their first show and have asked each nation's fighters to put in their best and most feared MMA fighters! World and National MMA Champions will be coming together for this show: I think London and UK MMA fans are in for treat with fighters from the UK's top MMA clubs; London Shootfighters, Storm, Royler Gracie, London Thai, Iron Wolves (my own fight team) and Pancrase (London), proudly fighting against France's Top MMA clubs; The French Top Team, The Europe Top Team (ETT), Barra Gracie-Fr, and Sukata-Fr. It will be very interesting to see how the show performs on the night.
On paper it looks to good to be true. Lets Party!
I will be covering this event in full for MAI and will let you know whom survived, but I would say it would be an event not to miss!
