Mr Ray Baum

One of my students Aaron Baum, has a father who has suffered from Multiple Sclerosis for the last 20 years. Over time his condition has worsened to the point where he is bedridden for a number of days a week.

MS attacks the nervous system and slowly mobility and activity is reduced. Thus the muscles are not used and slowly deteriorate. Thus mobility is reduced more and so on and so on. To help slow this cycle the muscles need to be used in order for fresh blood, chi and nutrients to be pumped around the system. This cannot be done unaided sometimes.

MEDIMOTION produce a exercise bike/machine that is powered by an adjustable motor that can allow the user to use their limbs but with the aid of a backup motor to help the muscles move under their own steam. This can produce some excellent results and can help to give the sufferer a relative amount of movement and relief from their symptoms.

In order to raise funds to help procure one of these machines for Mr Baum we are holding a 4 hour HELL DAY on the 8th April 2006 in York. This will involve the attendess enduring 4 hours of beatings, maulings, sparring and general pugilistic mayhem. You can be sponsored for the whole day or by the hour. A further date will occur in London which is to be arranged.

In our school code of honour we say:

Results: we had a great day, long and hard but good fun. Thankyou to all the guys for attending.

We think we have raised around £2000 but i will post the exact amount when we have collected all of the proceeds.
